Nehemiah Pritchett took some time to answer questions on a conference call with Seahawks media after he was drafted.

HS Baseball Player

As many athletes do in high school, Pritchett played both football and baseball while he was at Jackson High School in Alabama. In high school, he was selected to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game and was an all-state outfielder.

Two Degrees

Playing for five years at Auburn University allowed Pritchett to refine his skills on and off the football field. He graduated in December of 2022 with a degree in kinesiology and minor in sports coaching, and because he stayed for another season, he was working toward a second undergraduate degree in the college of liberal arts and graduated in May of 2023 from Auburn's college of education.

3-Year Starter

In his five years at Auburn, Pritchett played in all his five seasons and was a starter in his finial three seasons. Just last season, Pritchett had one interception, four passes defensed and 18 tackles.

Speedster

At this year's NFL Combine, Pritchett ran one of the top 10 fastest 40 yard-dash times of all prospects, clocking a 4.36 time. "I think it helped a lot," Pritchett said on his 40 time. "Because there weren't that many corners that opted to run, to be honest. I knew that I could run. It's been in my blood. I've been fast my whole life. I was ready for that moment. To be honest, I wanted to run lower, but it was cool to run a 4.36."
