- Prior to Seattle, has played in 102 games with 25 starts for New Orleans (2011-13) and Minnesota (2014-17). Has collected 162 tackles (102 solo) and 21.0 career sacks.
- Was a full-time starter in 2017 for the Vikings, starting a career-high 15 games and recording 32 tackles, the second-highest total of his career.
- Ranked fifth among NFC defensive tackles with 6.5 sacks in 2014, his career-high.
- Played in NFL Europa (Cologne Centurions), Arena Football League (Philadelphia Soul, Grand Rapids Rampage) and Canadian Football League (Calgary Stampeders) before landing a roster spot in 2011 with New Orleans, five years after his rookie season of 2006.
College: Played final two seasons with 12 starts at Southern Miss after transferring from Gulf Coast CC. Named second-team All-Conference USA as a senior. Helped Golden Eagles to consecutive 7-5 seasons in 2004 and 2005, capping each season with victory in New Orleans Bowl, over North Texas and Arkansas State, respectively. Notched 54 tackles as a senior. Earned second-team NJCAA All-America honors in 2003 at Gulf Coast CC and was team’s Defensive Line MVP both seasons.
Personal: Helped Moss Point High to Class 5A state title in 2000. Played football as a junior and senior, earning all-state and all-coast honors as a senior. Invited to play in Mississippi state all-star game. Did not play football until junior year. Aspires to a career in real estate when his football playing days are over. Started a non-profit in his hometown of Moss Point that promotes youth education. Has one daughter, Autumn, father works as an electrician in the local shipyards in Mississippi. Majored in coaching and sport administration.
