Totaled 119 tackles (102 solo), seven tackles for loss, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 24 passes defended. He earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors in 2015 and 2018. Played in 13 games and made 12 starts during his senior season. Finished with 42 tackles (35 solo), four tackles for loss, an interception, forced fumble, fumble recovery and eight pass breakups in being named an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection. Played at Homestead High School prior to playing his senior year at Booker T. Washington. Was selected to participate in the 2014 Miami-Dade All-Star Football Game. Named first-team 4A All-State by the Associated Press in 2014 and ranked No. 3 in the Miami-Dade Top 25 by the Miami Herald. Recorded four interceptions as a senior and was part of a defense that allowed just 12.7 points per game, including 11 games of 14 points or fewer and six games of seven points or fewer with two shutouts. Helped Washington to its third straight Class 4A State Title with a 15-0 record in 2014 and chosen honorable mention All-Dade County by the Miami Herald in 2013.
