• Saw action in one game as a rookie in 2016, coming off the bench in the season finale to complete six passes on 11 attempts (54.5%) for 96 yards with one interception.
*COLLEGE: *Played three seasons (2013-15) at Ohio State, totaling 2,323 passing yards and 15 touchdowns on 167-of-270 passing (61.9 pct.) with seven interceptions over 23 career games. Recorded a perfect 11-0 record as the starter, good for the best winning percentage by a quarterback in school annals with 10-plus starts. Made the first three starts of his collegiate career in the 2014 postseason, leading the Buckeyes to victories over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship, No. 1 Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinals at the Allstate Sugar Bowl and No. 2 Oregon in the national championship game. Named the Most Valuable Player of the Big Ten title game after throwing for 257 yards and three touchdowns.
PERSONAL: Attended Ginn Academy in Cleveland and played football for Ted Ginn Sr., the father of New Orleans WR Ted Ginn Jr., at Glenville High, as Ginn Academy students are allowed to play at Glenville. Led the Tarblooders to a 24-3 record as the starting quarterback. In the summer of 2017, he was made an honorary deputy sheriff for Ottawa County, Ohio, serving as a special ambassador to improve police-youth relations. Earned a degree with a double-major in financial planning and economics from Ohio State.
