Will Tukuafu enters his first season as defensive assistant/defensive line after spending 2022 as quality control/defense.Tukuafu officially joined the Seahawks coaching staff on February 15, 2022, and spending the 2021 as a coaching assistant aiding the special teams units.
He played seven seasons in the NFL as a fullback, four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers (2010-2013), and three with the Seattle Seahawks (2014-2016) after coming in as an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Oregon where he played defensive end. He played in 50 career games with four starts, seeing time at defensive end, fullback and special teams during his career.
Tukuafu last played in the NFL in 2016 for Seattle, under head coach Pete Carroll. He appeared in 30 games for Seattle, including the 2014 season as Seattle made its second consecutive Super Bowl appearance as the reigning NFC champions.
