Seahawks Surprise Military Veterans On Blue Friday
On Friday, November 2, the Seahawks surprised veteran Colby Atkinson, a volunteer project manager for Seattle 1st Platoon, and Kristina Marie, a veteran who has been actively involved with The Mission Continues. The surprise visits included Blue Thunder Drumline, the Sea Gals, and members of the team's community engagement staff, with the veterans receiving game tickets, Salute to Service gear, and a military coin, as well as Lyft rides to and from the game, a $100 gift card to the Pro Shop, and a Starbucks gift card. Lyft, the preferred rideshare partner of the Seahawks, will also donate 12% from all rides to and from Seahawks home games in November to The Mission Continues.
Defensive End Jadeveon Clowney Hosts 'Jingle-A-Thon With Jadeveon' Holiday Shopping Experience For Local Youth
In partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, Seattle Seahawks Defensive End Jadeveon Clowney held “Jingle-A-Thon with Jadeveon” on Tuesday, December 3 for local youth whose lives have been impacted by having an incarcerated family member. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound creates and supports 1-to-1 mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. The Jadeveon Clowney Help-In-Time Foundation event provided a holiday shopping experience for 25 youth in Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring programs. Seahawks teammates Demarcus Christmas, Branden Jackson, and Bryan Mone were also on-hand to help out at the holiday giveback event.
