SEATTLE and RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) and KIRO Radio announced Hailey Still of Thomas Jefferson High School as week four CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week. Hailey will be recognized on the field at CenturyLink Field during the Seahawks vs. Ravens game on Oct. 20.
Hailey, a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School, was selected the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Hailey holds a 3.9 GPA while taking college courses so she can graduate with an Associates Degree. Not only is she on honor roll at her high school but also at the community college she attends. Hailey has a passion for helping others through her community service efforts by building and installing a “Little Free Library” in her neighborhood so that others have access to books daily. Aside from academics and community service, Hailey is a team captain for every sport she plays which include soccer, basketball and softball. She was selected as “Athlete of the Year” by the Federal Way school district two years in a row. Hailey will be playing soccer at the University of Washington next fall.
Each student athlete will be recognized at his or her school in front of families, peers and teachers, as well as at a Seahawks game. Each winner will also receive a $1,000 grant to their school’s Athletic Department from the Seahawks along with media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, a customized football, and a customized 2019 Seahawks jersey. A total of $10,000 will be awarded to high schools over the course of the program.
