Modern-Era Nominees For Hall Of Fame Class Of 2019

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its list of 102 modern-era nominees for the Hall of Fame's Class of 2019, and several former Seahawks players and coaches are represented. Among the 102 listed are former Seahawks players in quarterback Dave Krieg, running backs Shaun Alexander, Edgerrin James, Chris Warren, and Ricky Watters, offensive linemen Steve Hutchinson, Kevin Mawae, and Ray Donaldson, punter Jeff Feagles as well as former coaches Tom Flores and Mike Holmgren, who took the franchise to its first Super Bowl.

The complete roster of nominees includes 47 offensive players, 39 defensive players, five specialists, and 11 coaches. The list of 102 will be reduced to 25 semifinalists in November and to 15 finalists in January, with the Class of 2019 to be elected by the Hall's Selection Committee in February and formally enshrined in Canton, Ohio next August. Of the former Seahawks, James, Hutchinson, and Mawae were all Hall of Fame finalists last year.
