Signed with Seattle on March 3, 2009, as an unrestricted free agent from Cincinnati. Originally drafted by Cincinnati in the seventh round (204th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft.

Over the past three seasons, numbers rank among the league’s best. Ranks first in receptions (294), 11th in yards (3,128), tied for sixth in touchdowns (25) and fourth in first downs (179) since 2006.

 

Finished Bengals career in third place on the club’s all-time receptions list (507), seventh place on the club’s receiving yards list (5,782) and fifth place on the club’s receiving touchdowns list (37).

 

En route to his first Pro Bowl, tied for the league-lead with a career-highs in receptions (112), yards (1,143) and touchdowns (12) in 2007.

COLLEGE:

 

As an Oregon State senior in 2000, was the top-producing receiver in a passing game that helped spark Beavers to a No. 4 national ranking and a Fiesta Bowl victory over Notre Dame. Caught 48 passes for 730 yards with seven scores on the season. Played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Cerritos (Calif.) College. Had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in each of his Cerritos seasons.

Born in Victor Valley, Calif. Hometown is Barstow, Calif. Played running back for Barstow High and led club to a 10-1-1 record as a senior. Offseason residence is Los Angeles. Married to wife, Kaci, and has two daughters, Karrington and Kennedi. Favorite hobbies are basketball, pool and PlayStation. Full name is Touraj Houshmandzadeh. First name is pronounced “TOO-raj.” Majored in physical education.
