2007: Took over as the starting fullback after Mack Strong was placed on IR on October 9. Played in all 16 games with four starts, rushing 33 times for 146 yards (4.4 avg.) and one touchdown. Caught 39 passes for 313 yards (8.0 avg.). Rushed three times for 40 yards, including a career-high 37-yard rush and caught four passes for 53 yards on Sunday Night Football vs. New Orleans (10/14). Scored first-career and the go-ahead touchdown with 5:57 remaining in the game at St. Louis (11/15). Rushed for career-high eight times for 34 yards and recorded career-high six receptions for 29 yards at Atlanta (12/30). Scored first-career postseason touchdown on 17-yard rush in the NFC Wild Card Game vs. Washington (1/5/08). Rushed four times for 10 cards in the NFC Divisional Game at Green Bay (1/12/08).


2006: Missed the entire season after being placed on injured reserve on September 2 (ankle).


2005: Made the club after signing as an undrafted free agent. Played in all 16 games, mostly on special teams. Carried the ball 12 times for 80 yards and caught one pass for 17 yards. Tied career-high with five rushes and set highs for yards (41) and long gain (24) versus San Francisco (12/11). Replaced Mack Strong (stinger, chest) in the second quarter versus Houston (10/16), finished with five carries for 21 yards. Declared inactive for the NFC Championship against Carolina (1/22/06) and Super Bowl XL versus Pittsburgh (2/5/06).


College Career


Led Carson-Newman in receiving as a tight end with 27 catches for 571 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns. He was named a Division II All-American by the AP, the American Football Coaches Association, d2football.com, dopke.com and Football Gazette. Helped lead the Eagles to a 9-3 record his final year, a South Atlantic conference championship and into the second-round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. In 2003, had 16 receptions for 410 yards and six scores, including a 67-yarder in the Division II Playoffs at Valdosta State. Entered Carson-Newman as a linebacker and had nine tackles in two games as a redshirt freshman in 2001 and moved to tight end before the 2002 season.
