HOW ACQUIRED:
Drafted with the second of two fourth-round choices (114th overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE:
Played in 45 games as a Gator, making 25 starts with 131 tackles (80 solo), 25.5 tackles for loss, 11.0 quarterback sacks, two pass breakups and three fumble recoveries during his time at UF. RS Senior: Started all 13 games at defensive tackle in his senior season. Finished tied for second on the team with 10.0 tackles for loss, totaling a team-best 64 yards, and 5.5 sacks, for a team-high 50 yards. Tied for the team lead with four QB hurries, and tops on the Gators with two fumble recoveries, including a 2-yard touchdown return against Kentucky. Fourth on the team with 65 tackles on the year. Voted Team Captain by his teammates. Had four total tackles in the season opener, with 1.5 tackles for a loss and a 12-yard sack, to earn him the first SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honor of the year. RS Junior: Appeared in 11 games, starting eight and missing Georgia and Vanderbilt with a right ankle sprain. Started at defensive tackle vs. Miami University, USF, LSU and Penn State. Started at defensive end in Florida’s victories over Tennessee and Kentucky, at Alabama and vs. Mississippi State. Wore jersey number 62 at Alabama in tribute to former Gators player Lamar Abel, a former walk-on who was part of the 2008 Florida National Championship team. Abel passed away on May 22, 2010. Also played basketball in high school and led Jones to the Class 3A state title.
