HOW ACQUIRED:
Acquired by Seattle via trade with the Cincinnati Bengals on August 29, 2011.

NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Originally drafted in the seventh round (249th overall) in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Bengals. Was waived on September 5, 2009, before re-signing to the practice squad the following day where he remained all season. Was waived by Cincinnati following training camp September 4, 2010, again re-signing to their practice squad the following day. Signed to the Bengals active roster November 8, 2010.
• Saw most action of career in 2011 playing in 15 games with one start, first of career, vs. Washington (11/27) in place of Alan Branch.
• Has seen action in 23 career games logging 39 tackles.

COLLEGE:
Played four seasons (2005-08) at Memphis. Totaled 141 career tackles and 11.5 sacks while playing in 48 games with 33 starts. Was first-team All-Conference USA as a senior, with a team-leading 7.0 sacks. Was the only junior to be voted as one of two permanent captains during the tenure of head coach Tommy West, and he retained that role as a senior. Tied school record for sacks in a game with 4.0 against Arkansas State as a senior, earning C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors.

PERSONAL:
Was a three-year letterman at Jacksonville (Ark.) High School. Earned Class 5- A all-state honors and was named to Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s 5-A Top Prospects list. Was listed twice on C-USA Commissioner’s Aca - demic Honor Roll.
