Signed to Seattle’s practice squad on September 7, 2009, and to its active roster on November 3. Signed a one-year deal on February 22, 2011.
NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Originally signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 28, 2008.
• In 2011, saw action in 10 ballgames setting a career high with 20 tackles. Began the season on PUP after recovering from offseason knee surgery
• In 2010, posted 17 tackles, 1.0 sack and four passes defensed playing in the bandit/nickel packages. Season cut short due to knee injury and placed on injured reserve on December 20.
• Special Teams captain (2010) was voted by teammates the Steve Largent Award winner and also named the Seahawks Man of the Year in 2010.
• Played in nine games on special teams with Seattle, collecting three tackles in 2009.
• Spent majority of 2008 on Steelers practice squad, playing in one regular-season game.
COLLEGE:
Named a team captain as a senior at Washington. Initially enrolled at San Jose State but transferred to Washington following his freshman year. Started all 13 games at cornerback for the Huskies as a senior. Started 12 games and returned kicks as a junior. Finished 10th in Pac-10 averaging 18.8 yards per return and finished third on team with 66 tackles. Played in 10 games, starting eight, in 2005 as a sophomore. Redshirted in 2004 after transferring. Appeared in 10 games, starting five as a freshman at San Jose State, finishing seventh on the team with 42 tackles.
PERSONAL:
As a senior at Narbonne, was credited with 108 tackles, seven interceptions and four fumble recoveries, including three defensive TDs. Also scored 13 touchdowns as a running back. Played both linebacker and cornerback on defense. Earned first-team allleague honors on offense. Also sprinted and long-jumped for the Narbonne track squad.
