Claimed off waivers (Detroit) by Seattle on May 29, 2013. Released by Seattle after training camp, he was signed to the team’s practice squad on September 2 and to its active roster on November 9. Made his NFL debut at Atlanta (11/10/13) and recorded one solo tackle. Was released and re-signed to Seattle’s practice squad on November 13. Brooks originally signed with the Lions as an undrafted rookie free agent in April 2013 after a four-year career at East Carolina, where he played in 42 games with 142 tackles in his career. He was named to the All-Conference USA second-team after a senior season with 34 stops in 10 games. Recorded 331 tackles during career at Bartlett Yancey High School, where he was a three-year all-region, all-conference and defensive MVP selection. Earned all state honors as a senior team captain after tallying 94 stops and 12.5 sacks. Also chosen as the Danville Regional Defensive Player of the Year in 2008. Also participated in track and was member of school's Honor Roll. Born August 28, 1991.
