Selected with the 35th choice (98th overall) in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft.

NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

• Scored first-career touchdown on a 20-yard fumble return vs. Baltimore (12/23/07).

• Set career-high with 12 tackles (nine solo) at San Francisco (10/26/08).

• Finished third on the team with a career-high 92 tackles (70 solo) in 2006.

• Played in 15 games, with nine starts as one- of-two starting rookie linebackers (Lofa Tatupu) in 2005.

• Set a Seattle record with 7.5 sacks by a rookie linebacker and third among all NFL rookies in that category (SD’s Shawne Merriman 9.0 and Dallas’ Demarcus Ware 8.0).

• Moved in to the starting lineup vs. St. Louis (11/13/05) when Jamie Sharper went down for the season (knee).

• Started all three games in the postseason in 2005. Had nine tackles (six solo) vs. Washington (1/14/06), six (four solo) vs. Carolina (1/22/06) and eight (seven solo) in Super Bowl XL vs. Pittsburgh (2/5/06).

COLLEGE:

First player, regardless of position since 1999-00, to earn first-team All-ACC honors in consecutive years. Started 24 of 47 collegiate games. Finished with 311 tackles (219 solo), 16 sacks, 48 tackles for loss, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and four passes defensed. As a senior, named ACC Defensive Player of Year and All-ACC first-team while starting every game (11) at strongside linebacker.

PERSONAL:

Attended Baldwin High. Was Class 5A all-state pick junior and senior year. Named Region Defensive Player of Year while earning all-area, all-conference, and all-region honors both junior and senior seasons. Recorded 150 tackles as a senior. Majored in management.
