Signed by Seattle as an unrestricted free agent from Detroit on March 9, 2009. Originally a fifth-round draft pick (138th overall) by the Lions in the 2002 NFL Draft. He has also played for Chicago (2004), Cleveland (2005) and New Orleans (2006-07).

• Posted career-highs in catches (8) and yards (56) in 2008. Used primarily as a blocking tight end.

COLLEGE:
Began and ended his career at Notre Dame playing tight end, despite playing defensive end for much of his junior season. Had six catches for 89 yards and a touchdown as a senior. Registered nine tackles in 12 games as a defensive end as a junior. Appeared in nine games as a sophomore and 11 games as a freshman.
PERSONAL:
Earned three letters at tight end and defensive end at DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) High School. Also played basketball. Majored in management information systems.
