NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Originally drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. Played two seasons in St. Louis, appearing in 14 games. Was released by the Rams following the 2007 season and spent 2008 out of football before signing with the Arizona Cardinals on May 5, 2009. Was inactive for 10 games that season before being released in November. Bryd went to training camp with the Cardinals in 2010 before being released on August 30.
  • Played in 14 career games with six catches for 83 yards and TD.
  • First-career reception resulted in a 27-yard TD grab vs. Washington (12/24/06).

COLLEGE:

Appeared in 39 games with four starts during his career with the Trojans under head coach Pete Carroll. Totaled 81 receptions for 968 yards and four career TDs. Established career-highs with 37 receptions for 384 yards and three TDs as a junior, earning honorable mention All-Pac 10 honors. Played some of his best football in big games while at USC, catching three passes for 58 yards and a TD against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl (National Championship game) as a junior and caught four passes for 32 yards in the National Title game against Texas as a senior.

PERSONAL:

Earned Super Prep, Prep Star and USA Today All-American honors as a senior at the Breck School (Golden Valley, Minn.) after catching 62 passes for 1,236 yards and 25 TDs as a wide receiver. Added team-high 108 tackles with four sacks, four interceptions (three returned for TD) as a linebacker. Recorded 56 receptions for 1,280 yards and 17 TDs as a junior. Started all four seasons and finished his prep career with 147 receptions for 3,008 yards and 49 TDs. Also a standout on the basketball team, earning 2003 Student Sports Grid Hoops All-America third-team honors as a junior. Majored in African Studies at Southern California.
