Played in 26 games (16 starts) at California. Started all 13 games and earned All-Pac 10 honors as a senior in 2007. Part of an offensive line that allowed a league-low 11 sacks. Appeared in 10 games (three starts) as a junior in 2006 and saw duty in three contests as a sophomore in 2005. Did not see game action in 2004 as a redshirt freshman. Redshirted as a true freshman in 2003. Majored in Legal Studies at California.

Earned first-team all-league honors at San Clemente (Claif.) High School. Also competed in basketball,
volleyball and track and field.
