Signed with Seattle as a free agent on January 21, 2011.

NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Originally signed with Arizona as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2006. Appeared in 11 games for the Cardinals before being released during training camp in 2007 (8/23). Signed with Philadelphia on January 8, 2008, and later waived on June 13, 2008. Claimed off waivers by the New York Jets before being released following training camp on August 31, 2008.
  • Has played in 11 career games, all in 2006, at defensive end, fullback and on special teams. Recorded one rush for five yards at Oakland (10/22). Also has registered 12 career special teams tackles and a fumble recovery. Converted from defensive end to fullback midway through the 2006 season.
  • Established career-high five special teams tackles on Monday Night Football vs. Chicago (10/16/06).

COLLEGE:

Started 39 career games for South Dakota at defensive end. Registered 145 career tackles (91 solo). Recorded a school-record 44.5 tackles-for-loss, three pass deflections, three forced fumbles, two blocked kicks and 28 sacks. Named to the first team defense on The Associated Press Little All-American Team as a senior in 2005, becoming South Dakota’s first AP selection since 1988. Recorded a school- record 19 sacks as a senior.

PERSONAL:

At Battle Creek-Ida HS, recorded 202.5 tackles, rushed for 1,289 yards on 238 carries, 14 touchdowns and had a 39.0 punting average. Broke school records in rushing with 1,055 yards on 157 carries and 11 touchdowns. Lettered four years in track, three years in basketball and two in baseball in HS. Member of the track team at South Dakota and won the NCC Outdoor title in the shot put (50’00.50).
