- Played in a career-high 10 games in 2016 and totaled three tackles and a fumble recovery.
- Made the first start of his NFL career vs. Atlanta on November 8, 2015, and recorded a career-high seven tackles.
- Spent the first part of the 2014 season with San Diego on Injured Reserve before being waived on September 23. Spent time on Cleveland’s practice squad and was later waived. Joined the 49ers practice squad and was later activated to the 53-man roster on December 13 and finished the sea-son with four tackles.
- Promoted to the Chargers active roster on December 17, 2013, where he spent the remainer of the season, although did not appear in a game.
College: Played in 39 games and registered 66 tackles, 15 passes defensed, one interception and one forced fumble. As a senior, started all 14 games and was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention selection. Recorded the second-most passes defensed (12) and returned his first-career inter-ception 29 yards for a touchdown in the Big Ten Championship game versus Nebraska for a berth in the Rose Bowl. In 2011, played in 14 games and recorded 26 tackles and one pass deflection. Appeared in 11 games from 2009 to 2010, record-ing two tackles. Redshirted his freshman season in 2008.
Personal: Attended Timberview (Mansfield, Texas) HS, where he was selected First-Team All-District and All-Area team in his senior season. Set his high school’s record in the 200 meter (21.77). Father, Julius, spent 20 years in the Marine Corps. Mother, Judith, spent 20 years in the US Navy. Has many family ties to the NFL. He is cousins with Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie, a cornerback for the New York Giants, and NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie. He is also cousins with Da’Mon Cromartie-Smith and Terrelle Smith, who formerly played in the NFL. Majored in agri-cultural business.
