Named wide receivers coach on January 13, 2009, Robert Prince begins his first season with Seattle after spending the previous two years with the Jacksonville Jaguars as their assistant wide receivers coach.

 

He joined the Jaguars staff after breaking in to the NFL coaching ranks with the Atlanta Falcons from 2004-06. He spent two seasons as the Falcons offensive assistant before moving to assistant quarterbacks coach in his final season.

Prior to the NFL, Prince spent 15 years in the collegiate ranks. During this time, Prince served as a coaching intern through the Bill Walsh NFL’s Minority Coaching Program with San Francisco (2000 and 2002) and San Diego (2001). His coaching background includes stops at Humboldt State (1989-90), Montana State (1991), Sacramento State (1992-93), Fort Lewis College (1994-95), Recruit Seagulls of the Japan American Football League (1996-97), Portland State (1998-2000) and Boise State (2001-03).

Prince earned his degree in mathematics and master’s in physical education from Humboldt State. He and his wife, Susan, have three children, Hayden, Tyson and Jasmin.
