Seahawks Skills Camp, with coaches Jim Zorn and Brock Huard

General Information

The 2017 Seahawks Skills Camp is your chance to gain expert football knowledge from top level coaches and Seahawks Legends that will improve your athlete's performance and take their game to the next level! Our elite football camp will not only provide campers with performance skill instruction from top flight instructors, but your young athlete will also receive character development and safety coaching, as well as nutritional tips that will enhance their overall performance on and off the field.

The Seahawks Skills Camp offers instruction for the skill positions of QB, WR, RB, and DB for ages 8-17. The camp will be offered at two locations: CenturyLink Field (Seattle, WA) and Chiawana High School (Pasco, WA). The morning camp will instruct athletes ages 8-12 and the afternoon camp will instruct athletes ages 13-17. Each camp will last 4 hours. Participants will be provided an exclusive camp t-shirt and backpack. Recommended: Campers should have some football knowledge or experience.

Jim Zorn, former Seahawks quarterback and NFL head coach, and member of the Seahawks Ring of Honor

Jim is a former starting QB for the Seattle Seahawks (1976-1983) was inducted into the Seahawks "Ring of Honor" in 1991. Zorn was named AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year by the National Football League Players Association following the team's inaugural 1976 season. He was the first Seattle quarterback to record back-to-back 300-plus yard games—a feat he accomplished twice. Zorn was well known as one of the more prolific scrambling quarterbacks of his day. He has over 15 years of professional coaching experience for the following teams: Boise State, Utah State, University of Minnesota, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs.

Seahawks Legend Brock Huard will host campers at Chiawana High School for the 1 day Seahawks Skills Camp.

Brock Huard, former Seahawks quarterback and current Seahawks broadcaster and analyst.

Brock is a former H.S. Gatorade National Player of the Year, All-State and Class AAA State Player-of-the-Year out of Puyallup, WA and holds the University of Washington school career marks for most passing yards (5,742), touchdown passes (51), 300+ yard games (4), and attempts without an interception (151). Huard was a member of the Seattle Seahawks from 2000–2001 and of the Indianapolis Colts in 2002-2003. He currently is a co-host on a sports radio talk show KIRO-AM (710 ESPN Seattle), the Brock and Salk show, with co-host Mike Salk. He is also the color analyst for ESPN college football broadcasts, primarily in the SEC, and has been the color commentator for Seahawks preseason game since 2013. Brock has extensive experience working with young football players and has coached youth at football camps for the past decade.

FAQ

  • Q: What does my child need to bring?
    A: Campers should wear comfortable athletic clothes (t-shirt, athletic shorts or pants), cleats, and a change of shoes (tennis shoes or flip-flops). Please check the forecast before arriving to camp and dress accordingly.
  • Q: Will camp be canceled if it rains?
    A: Camp will be conducted rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
  • Q: Can parents stay and watch the camp?
    A: Yes, parents will be invited to watch camp from the designated viewing area.
  • Q: What is provided?
    A: Campers will receive an exclusive Seahawks Skills Camp t-shirt and backpack, as well as additional swag items. Water will be provided.
  • Q: How do I know if my child has enough experience for this camp?
    A: The Seahawks Skills Camp is designed to enhance and develop football knowledge, skills, and performance. Some camp techniques and instruction may require previous football background and knowledge. With that in mind, we will welcome all campers.
  • Q: What is the difference between the Seahawks Skills Camp and the Seahawks Gatorade Camp?
    A: The Seahawks Gatorade Camp is designed for basic football training for youth of all levels and is not position specific. The Seahawks Skills Camp is designed for young athletes with some football experience to enhance their skills through expert guidance and elite coaching.
  • Q: Where should I park?
    A: CenturyLink Field (Seattle, WA) participants and parents can park in the CenturyLink Field garage at the rate of $8 per day. Chiawana High School (Pasco, WA) participants can park in the lot adjacent to the football field.
