Seahawks to Launch Hispanic Radio Network with ESPN Deportes

Marks the first time that games will be broadcast locally in Spanish

RENTON, Wash. - The Seahawks announced today a partnership with the ESPN Deportes local radio group to launch a Hispanic Radio Network which will broadcast all Seahawks games in Spanish for the 2013 season including a two hour pregame and a one hour postgame show.
 
The ESPN Deportes local radio affiliates, comprised of four privately owned radio stations, include 1490 AM in Seattle/Bremerton, 1480 AM in Tacoma/Lakewood, 92.1 FM in Tacoma/Puyallup and 1280 AM in Olympia/Lacey. The network will reach Seahawks fans in Washington, Oregon, and parts of Idaho.
 
"This is a great opportunity to expand the Hispanic fan base throughout the northwest," said Alan Goodman, Vice President of Operations for ESPN Deportes Local Radio Group. "Our employees are honored to be the vehicle to launch this new project."
 
The Seahawks Hispanic Radio Network will launch on Thursday, August 8 for the Seahawks at Chargers preseason game. The pregame show will begin at 5 p.m. with a 7 p.m. kickoff followed by a one hour postgame show.
 
The broadcast team of Alex Rivera and Raul Sandoval, a.k.a. "El Rulas," will serve as play-by-play announcers. The duo will be joined by local sports radio co-host's Diego Arrioja and Paco Diaz of "Latinfut Radio Show."
