Seahawks release Kenneth Boatright, Keith Price; Sign Demitrius Bronson, Kevin Williams

The Seahawks have released defensive end Kenneth Boatright and quarterback Keith Price and signed running back Demitrius Bronson and defensive tackle Kevin Williams.

Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks have released defensive end Kenneth Boatright and quarterback Keith Price and signed running back Demitrius Bronson and defensive tackle Kevin Williams, the team announced this afternoon.

Bronson began his career at the University of Washington before transferring to Eastern Washington. He earned honorable mention All-Big Sky honors in 2012, and was a short-yardage specialist for the Eagles. Bronson finished with 600 career rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, and caught eight career passes for 51 yards. He started 10 of 29 games played.

Williams was the ninth pick overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2003 NFL Draft and recorded 10.5 sacks as a rookie. He followed that with 11.5 sacks in 2004 and also had 8.5 sacks in 2008. He was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2004 and 2006-10, adding All-Pro honors in 2004 and 2006-09. He was also named the NFL All-Decade team for the 2000s. He has started all 171 games played in his career and recorded 463 tackles (331 solo), 60.0 sacks, five interceptions, 63 passes defensed, two touchdowns, seven forced fumbles and 13 fumble recoveries.

Boatright signed with Seattle on April 27, 2013 and Price signed on May 10, 2014.
