Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have signed safety
Seattle drafted Chancellor in the fifth-round (133rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. A two-year starter, he has 185 tackles (142 solo), 1.0 sack, four interceptions and 18 passes defensed in 31 games. Chancellor played in the Pro Bowl after the 2011 season after being named a first alternate to the annual all-star game. That season, he posted a career-highs in tackles (94), interceptions (4) and passes defensed (13).
Last season he started all 16 games and was named a second alternate to the Pro Bowl after finishing third on the team in tackles with 91 (69 solo).
He spent his first season as a backup to Lawyer Milloy, totaling 12 tackles (10 solo), 1.0 sack and 11 tackles and one forced fumble on special teams in 16 games.
