Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have signed defensive tackle Tony McDaniel, the team announced today. The team also announced that restricted free agent defensive tackle
McDaniel originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2006. While in Jacksonville, he played in 25 games with three starts. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins in March of 2009, where he played in 54 games with two starts. McDaniel has totaled 119 tackles (88 solo), 8.5 sacks and 12 passes defensed in his career.
McDonald was acquired by Seattle in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2011, after being drafted by Cincinnati in the seventh round (249th overall) in the 2009 NFL Draft. McDonald played in eight games for the Bengals, with four tackles (4 solo). With Seattle, McDonald has played in 29 games with one start, and has tallied 60 tackles (38 solo) with one pass defensed and one fumble recovery.
