RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks and Sterling Bank today announced Charlie Kinnune of Mount Si High School and Scott Ditter of Selah High School as week two "NFL High School Coaches of the Week."
Kinnune led the Mount Si Wildcats (2-0) to a 21-0 non-league victory over the visiting Issaquah Eagles on Friday, September 7. Mount Si will face the Juanita Rebels (1-1) Friday evening, September 14.
Ditter's Selah Vikings improved to 1-1 and scored 28 points while limiting the host West Valley Rams to 17 points in the Vikings' league win on Friday, September 7. Selah will host the Ellensburg Bulldogs (2-0) Friday evening.
Now in its 17th season, the NFL High School Coach of the Week program is a partnership between the Washington State Football Coaches Association, the Seattle Seahawks and Sterling Bank.
Following the season, one coach will receive the Jim Ennis Award for High School Coach of the Year. The 2012 NFL High School Coach of the Year for Washington State will receive a $2,000 cash grant.
