Pitts started all 114 games played for the Houston Texans after being drafted in the second round (50th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft until being sidelined last season after two games.
He moved to left guard in 2006 after beginning his career at left tackle, and re-joins former Houston line coach Alex Gibbs in Seattle. Pitts attended San Diego State, where he walked-on to the football team in 1998.
Seattle traded guard Rob Sims and a 2010 seventh-round pick to Detroit for Henderson and a 2010 fifth-round pick on April 5. Heygood joined Seattle's practice squad on October 28, 2009.
