Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Monday, June 30 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Michael Robinson's Playing Days Behind Him?
Todd Dybas of the Tacoma News Tribune recaps a recent conversation with former Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson about his future in the NFL, noting it's becoming clear that Robinson's days in the League as a player may be done.
Dybas writes: "For the first time since he was little, Robinson could be without football this fall. Robinson said he has talked to Carroll in the past about coaching and will always talk to the guys in the Seahawks in the locker room, no matter what his future role is. It likely won’t be next to them on the field anymore."
Richard Sherman: "We play like a bunch of kids"
Tom Robinson of The Virginia-Pilot caught up with Richard Sherman shortly after the Seahawks All-Pro cornerback was coming off the field at William and Mary's football camp in Williamsburg, Va. last week. Sherman revealed a "secret" to the team's success.
"Run as fast as you can, tackle as hard as you can, celebrate after plays," Sherman told The Virginia-Pilot. "That's what I like about us in Seattle; we play like a bunch of kids. Big kids, but kids just the same."
Sherman also offered a look into the championship mentality Seahawks coach Pete Carroll instilled in his squad early last season.
"Pete's huge into psychology," Sherman said. "He told us we were going to win it mid-last year.... He was like, 'We're not trying to just go for one, we're trying to go for multiples.' He tried to prepare our minds for a long run."
An Offer From The Owner
Seahawks owner Paul Allen wants you to share your "virtual" Super Bowl XLVIII championship rings via the Seahawks mobile app for a chance to win one of 12 replica rings from Tiffany & Co.
