Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Thursday, July 31 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Jesse Williams Leaves Practice On Cart
Second-year defensive tackle Jesse Williams left Wednesday's practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Center on a cart with what a team spokesperson described as an injury to his knee. The setback came during the team's one-on-one pass rush/pass protection drill.
The specificity of Williams' injury remains unknown, but it's worth noting he spent the 2013 season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Bryan Walters Beats Steve Kerr In Hoops Shootout
Former NBA guard and first-year Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was on site Wednesday to take in Pete Carroll's coaching philosophy. The five-time NBA champion and NBA record-holder in three-point shooting percentage squared off against wide receiver Bryan Walters in a friendly hoops shootout to start yesterday's team meeting.
Walters, who played point guard at Kirkland's Juanita High, somehow managed to come out on top in the competition, making six shots to Kerr's four in a 30-second span.
"He's one of the all-time great shooters," said Walters. "I never would have guessed I would ever have the opportunity to face off against one of the greatest shooters of all-time."
