Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Monday, August 11 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Marshawn Lynch Carries More Of The Load
Running back Marshawn Lynch, who missed the Seahawks' first seven days of training camp, took part in every phase of practice on Sunday after participating in a limited fashion last week.
“Marshawn looks great," said Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. "He’s in great shape. He looks just as fit as he ever has. His weight is way down. He’s really worked hard to get here. Even through a trying time, he really kept his focus and did a nice job in getting ready. “It showed today. You could tell.”
Cooper Helfet Impresses
Asked who has stood out in the battle for the team's third tight end behind incumbent starter
"Cooper [Helfet] has just done a fantastic job," Carroll said on Sunday. "He did it again today. He’s a great catcher. He’s an excellent, excellent catcher. He can catch the ball as well as anybody on the team. His blocking is improving. He played well on [special] teams also. He’s making a really strong bid. I’m really fired up for him. He’s been here a long time with us, kind of in the background.
"He’s the strongest, fastest, smartest he’s been, and it shows up."
Tweet of the Day

Bruce Irvin(@BIrvin_WVU11) August 10, 2014
Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin, who tweeted "On my way" coupled with an instagram video of him running sideline to sideline in the team's indoor practice facility at Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
"Bruce is doing great," Carroll said Sunday of the team's 2012 first-round draft pick who continues to rehab from an offseason hip surgery. "There are no signs of anything but forward progress with him. He’s running really hard now. It’s still one week at a time to make sure that there’s no setbacks, but his rehab has gone beautifully. We’re very encouraged that he’ll be back, really, he’s way ahead of schedule so he’ll be back soon."
