Seattle hits the road for its final east coast trip of the season, traveling to Miami for the first time since its season-opening visit in 2000. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. (PT) and the game will be televised on FOX(channel 13 in Seattle) and broadcast on 97.3 FM in Seattle.
This will be Seattle's second AFC East opponent this season, dropping the season opener at Buffalo, 34-10, on September 7.
The Dolphins lead the regular season series by a 6-3 margin and have won two of the previous three meetings since 2000. Of the series10 meetings, games have taken place in five different venues. The Seahawks and Dolphins played at the Orange Bowl (1977, 1979), Kingdome (1987, 1992), Dolphin Stadium (1990, 1996, 2000), Husky Stadium (2001) and Qwest Field (2004).
The Seahawks return to Dolphin Stadium for the first time since the team's 23-0 defeat on September 3, 2000. Miami then won the following year's meeting at Husky Stadium on October 28, 24-20.
In the last meeting on November 21, 2004, at Qwest Field, Miami scored 10 unanswered points to tie the game at 17-17 late in the fourth quarter, only to have Michael Boulware pick off an A.J. Feeley pass and return it 63 yards or the winning score with less than one minute remaining.
Week 8's 34-13 win at San Francisco gave Mike Holmgren sole possession of 10th place on the NFLs all-time wins list. His record currently stands at 172-116. He is 2-3 in the regular season vs. Miami and 1-2 while with Seattle.
