What We Heard: Soundgarden & Pharrell Williams

Posted Sep 4, 2014

Check out what songs Soundgarden and Pharrell Williams played during Thursday night's pregame concert at CenturyLink Field.

During Thursday night's pregame concert featuring Soundgarden and Pharrell Williams that was held in front of a jam-packed CenturyLink Field North Lot and North Plaza, Emerald-City native rocker Chris Cornell said it best.

"It's a good day to be from Seattle," the Soundgarden lead vocalist said to a frenzied flock of 12s who were awaiting the return of their defending Super Bowl champions.

With the Seahawks finally set to open the NFL season against the Green Bay Packers in front of a nationally televised audience, 12s everywhere couldn't agree more.

"We've always been loud," Cornell said of his fellow Pacific Northwest-native rock collective. "And it's amazing how much louder you guys [the 12s] are, with nothing [but your voice], than us."

Soundgarden's set gave way to a performance from Pharrell Williams, the award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer.

"Shout out to Paul Allen and his wonderful team," Pharrell said midway through his turn on stage.

Below, check out the artists' set lists from today's pregame concert.
