Tuesday Round-Up: What we learned from Week 14

Posted Dec 10, 2013

A morning link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks

Good morning, 12th Man.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Tuesday, December 10 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Danny O'Neil of 710Sports.com outlines three things we learned and three things we're still trying to figure out following Sunday's loss to the 49ers. O'Neil also looks at whether or not the Seahawks should have let the 49ers score a touchdown late in the game with the hope of getting the ball back with more than two minutes remaining.

Art Thiel of SportsPressNW.com dissects how Carroll will use Sunday's loss to the 49ers as a learning opportunity with three games to play in the regular season.

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times writes how the Seahawks will move on after their second loss of the season.

John Boyle of the Everett Herald has head coach Pete Carroll's take on if they considered letting San Francisco score late in the game.

Todd Dybas of the Tacoma News Tribune says letting the 49ers score at the end of the game would have gone against Carroll's coaching mentality.

Terry Blount of ESPN.com wonders if the Seahawks are having some trouble stopping the run after giving up 137 yards before contact to the 49ers on Sunday. Blount also has Carroll's take on some of the penalties that disrupted the Seahawks' offensive rhythm.

Jim Trotter of SI.com says the Seahawks view Sunday's loss to the Niners as a stepping stone, not a step back.

Boomer Esiason of SI.com breaks down why he believes the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC still goes through Seattle in this short video.

Here at Seahawks.com, Digital Media Reporter Clare Farnsworth highlights the Week 14 play of cornerbacks Byron Maxwell and Jeremy Lane, puts the focus on linebacker Malcolm Smith, who will step up in place of the injured K.J. Wright (foot), and eyes what worked and what needs work after the Seahawks 19-17 defeat in San Francisco.
