Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Tuesday, June 10 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Bruce Irvin "Doing Great" Following Hip Surgery
Following Monday's OTA, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that linebacker Bruce Irvin's hip surgery went well last week. Carroll said the team hopes to have Irvin back by the start of the regular season. Carroll said Irvin had been managing the injury for a while, but it got to the point where the team decided to take care of it.
"He’s doing great," Carroll said. "The surgery went fine. Should be doing fine. ... Expecting really good things out of it. He’s dealt with it for a long time and it just got to a point where he just thought it was better we have a chance to get him back by the start of the season, which it’s a possibility, so we’ll see what happens."
More Praise For
"He probably has been the brightest guy of the whole camp," Carroll said of Toomer on Monday. "Jumped up the most. His speed is obvious. He no longer is a rook; not understanding. He’s studied really hard, he’s worked hard. In the offseasons he’s watched so much, he practices just like the guys that are playing all the time. He looks like he can compete with all those guys. He’s in good shape to compete."

Richard Sherman Lobbies For "Legion Of Boom"
Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who recently won the fan-voting competition to appear on the cover of Madden NFL 15, wants to bring his "Legion of Boom" teammates who have been instrumental to his success along for the ride.
"I've been trying to get the Legion of Boom on the cover, and EA has been fighting me," Sherman said on Monday. "So if everybody wants to start a petition to get the Legion of Boom on the cover, here it is, here's an open invitation."
