Richard Sherman - NFL's Most Vital Defensive Player?

Seahawks All-Pro corner Richard Sherman is the No. 1 ranked player on columnist Adam Schein's list of the top nine defensive players "you cannot afford to lose."

On Sherman, who earned the top mention over players like Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly and Indianapolis Colts linebacker Robert Mathis, Schein writes, "While Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor comprise the NFL's top safety combination (I voted both first team All-Pro in 2013), Sherman makes the defensive backfield tick. In addition to his timely play, knack for creating turnovers and leadership, Sherman spearheads the Seattle swagger. The Seahawkswouldn't be the Seahawks without him."
