A morning link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Thursday, June 12 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Seahawks Hold Final OTA

Today marks the Seahawks' ninth and final day of Organized Team Activities at Virginia Mason Athletic Center, wrapping up Phase 3 of the team's offseason program. We'll have a complete recap of the day's events in written stories, videos, and photos later this afternoon on

A quick reminder that the team's mandatory three-day minicamp kicks off next week, running Tuesday, June 17 to Thursday, June 19. To this point, all of the Seahawks' offseason work has been conducted on a voluntary basis.

Jordan Hill & Jesse Williams Making Progress

Defensive tackles Jordan Hill and Jesse Williams, selected in the third (Hill) and fifth (Williams) rounds of the 2013 NFL Draft, have been working in tandem during the team's OTA sessions this offseason. Head coach Pete Carroll has dubbed the pair of second-year players part of the team's "red-shirt" class - players that missed time last season to injury, but who are expected to contribute in 2014.

“They’re doing well,” defensive line coach Travis Jones told Digital Media Reporter Clare Farnsworth. “Both have had a good offseason and trained really well. So they came in in much better shape than either one of them was in last year. It’s been real refreshing and fun to see them running around and competing in drills.

“I’m real pleased with the progress each has shown this spring.”

Cliff Avril Delivers Seattle Mariners Ceremonial First Pitch

Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Seattle Mariners' game against the New York Yankees last night at Safeco Field. Avril, who said he was "more nervous for this than the Super Bowl," was joined by fellow D-linemen Brandon Mebane and Michael Bennett on the field.

12 Tour Schedule Announced

For the second consecutive summer, the Seahawks 12 Tour will travel throughout the Pacific Northwest, making stops in different cities with players, the Sea Gals, mascot Blitz, and the Lombardi Trophy. A full schedule of events, activities, and locations can be found at
