Posted Jan 21, 2014

Seahawks set to feature road white jerseys and blue pants against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium.

The Seahawks will don their road white jerseys matched with blue pants when they kickoff Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

STYLE POINTS

Since transitioning to their Nike digs in 2012, the Seahawks have sported six different uniform combinations.

Here's a look at how they've fared during the regular season in their different gameday get-ups.

Uni Combo Record
White Jersey/Blue Pants 2-1
Blue Jersey/Blue Pants* 15-1
Gray Jersey/Gray Pants 3-0
White Jersey/Gray Pants 0-3
Blue Jersey/Gray Pants 2-1
White Jersey/White Pants 2-2
Overall Record 24-8

It should be a familiar feeling for Seattle, who last showcased the white/blue uniform combo during the team's 23-0 shutout victory over the New York Giants back in Week 15 at - yep, you guessed it - MetLife Stadium. The club is hoping a return to the site with duplicate gameday garb will produce another favorable result. The Seahawks are 2-1 all-time when wearing their white tops coupled with blue bottoms, winning on the road against the Atlanta Falcons, 33-10, in Week 10 and falling to the Detroit Lions, 28-24, in Week 8 last season.

On Monday, the Denver Broncos - who are the home team in this year's championship - announced they would be wearing their orange home jerseys.

That means the Seahawks and Broncos will be rocking the very same uniform combinations this February that you saw in the preseason meeting between the two clubs last year. The Seahawks came out on top in that exhibition, 30-10, besting Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning in his Sports Authority Field at Mile High debut with his new team. Manning led the Broncos' only two scoring drives that day, finishing 16-of-23 for 177 yards with two interceptions - one by linebacker K.J. Wright and another by safety Jeron Johnson.

Seattle wore all-blue in Super Bowl XL, when they fell 21-10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich.
