Seahawks to Retire Kennedy Jersey during Halftime on Sunday

RENTON, Wash. - The Seahawks announced today the jersey retirement ceremony for Hall of Fame member Cortez Kennedy will be held during halftime at this Sunday's game when the Seahawks host the New England Patriots at CenturyLink Field. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Touchdown City will open at 10 a.m. and stadium gates open at 11 a.m.

Kennedy will also receive his Hall of Fame ring during the ceremony which will be presented by Pro Football Hall of Fame President/Executive Director Steve Perry.

The Seattle City Council will proclaim October 14 as "Cortez Kennedy Day" and invites all Seahawks fans to celebrate Cortez Kennedy for his enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

American Family Insurance Touchdown City will open at 10 a.m. and admission is free.  Touchdown City features a four-sided video board with 10 x 15 screens featuring the top NFL games and over 30 free interactive activity stations.  Fans will be entertained with performances by Blue Thunder and Sea Gals.  Fans will find season long food and beverage specials including $5 beers and $3 hot dogs.
