The Seahawks have added depth to their offensive line by signing guard
The 6-foot-3, 303-pound Van Roten spent the past two seasons with the Green Bay Packers, playing in seven games in 2012 and three games in 2013 before being placed on injured reserve with a foot injury in October. He has never started a game in the NFL.
The Packers released Van Roten on Tuesday and the Seahawks signed him Friday.
