Seahawks 2014 second-round draft choice
"FINALLY SIGNED. ITS OFFICIAL!" Richardson tweeted on Tuesday afternoon.
Richardson, the speedy 6-foot, 183-pound wide receiver out of Colorado, was the Seahawks' first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was selected at No. 45 overall after a pair of trades with the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions that saw Seattle's first pick move from No. 32 to No. 40 to No. 45, while adding picks in the later rounds of the draft.
“I’m so appreciative right now," Richardson told reporters on a conference call shortly after hearing his name called in the draft. "I’m so blessed with this opportunity, I’m still like excited. It hit me, but it hasn’t hit me. I’m just overwhelmed right now in a good way.”
Richardson came away with one of the highlight plays from this past weekend's rookie minicamp, blowing past 2014 sixth-round draft choice
"He’ll be fine," head coach Pete Carroll said at the conclusion of minicamp this past Sunday. "He should be back in a couple of days.”
