Seahawks rookie minicamp roster

Posted May 16, 2014

Fifty-nine players will participate in the Seahawks' three-day rookie minicamp.

Kevin Norwood, selected in the 4th round (No. 123 overall) by the Seahawks in the 2014 NFL Draft

Fifty-nine players have taken to the practice field at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center for the start of the Seahawks' three-day rookie minicamp.

Of the 59 individuals competing this weekend along the shores of Lake Washington are the nine members of Seattle's 2014 draft class, the nine others who joined the club as undrafted rookie free agents, 11 non-rookies who are still eligible to participate, and 30 more players who were invited to work on a tryout basis.

The weekend primarily serves as an opportunity for 2014 draftees and those signed in free agency to develop a rapport with the coaching staff and familiarize themselves with how the Seahawks operate both on and off the field. But last year's camp saw the emergence of tryout defensive end Benson Mayowa, who not only was signed after the three-day session but ended up flashing his pass rush ability during preseason play and sticking on the team's 53-man roster. In 2012, quarterback Russell Wilson impressed coach Pete Carroll enough during the three-day camp to immediately insert himself into the team's quarterback competition, and we all know how that turned out.

Below, check out the complete roster for the Seahawks' 2014 rookie minicamp, which is subject to change. Time will tell if there's another Mayowa or Wilson in the bunch.
