The Seahawks reached the league-mandated 75-man roster limit Tuesday by making moves as well as cuts, and all involved injured players.

Four players were moved to injury lists, including special teams captain Heath Farwell, who sustained what coach Pete Carroll labeled a “severe” groin injury during Friday night’s preseason game against the Chicago Bears.

Also placed on IR were offensive lineman C.J. Davis and defensive back A.J. Jefferson.

Defensive back Eric Pinkins, a sixth-round pick in May’s NFL Draft, was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list.

Three players were waived injured: defensive lineman Michael Brooks, linebacker Horace Miller and wide receiver David Gilreath.
