Small he’s not at 247 pounds, but that is the name of the player the Seahawks selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft on Saturday: Arkansas fullback Kiero Small.

With their final pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Seahawks selected a player named Small who is and isn’t.

The selection was Arkansas fullback Kiero Small, who is only 5 feet 8 but weighs 247 pounds. He was the 12th pick in the seventh round and 227th overall.

Small carried the ball 40 times for 151 yards and three touchdowns last season, when he also caught 19 passes for 128 yards.

The Seahawks traded their own seventh-round pick to the Oakland Raiders for quarterback Terrelle Pryor. The pick they used to select Small came in the trade with the Detroit Lions on Friday to move down five spots in the second round.
