Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms with running back and kick returner
Washington came to Seattle last year in a draft-day (4/24/10) trade with the New York Jets. He became the first player in NFL history to return three kickoffs for touchdowns in two different seasons (2007, 2010). Washington also became the 10th player in NFL history, first in Seahawks history, to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in a single game vs. San Diego (9/26). His returns of 101 and 99 yards are the two longest in Seahawks history. He became the third player in NFL history with two touchdowns of 99 yards in the same game. Washington's third touchdown came at San Francisco (12/12) on a 92-yard return.
In 2010, Washington returned 57 kickoffs for 1,461 yards (25.6 avg.) and three touchdowns. He also registered 27 carries for 100 yards and one touchdown, while adding nine receptions for 79 yards. Washington established a career-long 84-yard punt return vs. Carolina (12/5).
The five-year veteran has seven career kickoff returns for touchdowns, ranking him second all-time in NFL history (8-Josh Cribbs, Cle).
