Posted May 10, 2014

The Seahawks addressed their offseason losses in the secondary in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday by selecting San Diego State safety Eric Pinkins.

The Seahawks selected their first defensive back in the 2014 NFL Draft when they took San Diego State free safety Eric Pinkins in the sixth round on Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Pinkins was the 32nd pick in the sixth round and 208th overall.

Pinkins had a strong Pro Day workout, running the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds, popping a 39½-inch vertical leap and doing 25 reps with 225 pounds.

The Seahawks are down to one selection, the 12th pick in the seventh round that they acquired in a trade with the Detroit Lions for moving down five spots in the second round.
