Hot on the heels of the 86th annual Academy Awards, the Seattle Seahawks have turned in an Oscar-worthy performance of their own.
Our friends at NFL Films take you down on the field and inside the locker room for the Seahawks' 2013-14 Super Bowl XLVIII championship run with a 73-minute collectible DVD and Blu-Ray disc available for purchase online now. The film will be available soon at our Seattle-area Pro Shop locations.
"The amazing thing is everybody coming to see this movie and they already know what the ending is," coach Carroll cracked during a brief session with the media held before the show.
But what an ending it was. The Seahawks capped their fourth season under Carroll and Schneider in grand fashion with a 43-8 Super Bowl victory over the AFC Champion Denver Broncos. The film depicts all of the action along the way - from the team's heart-wrenching divisional playoff exit at the home of the Atlanta Falcons a season ago, to the blue-and-green confetti storm last month at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium.
It was 12 Years a Slave that earned the Oscar for best picture on Sunday, but Super Bowl champion Seahawks fans are sure to argue that that title too now belongs in the Pacific Northwest.
