Seahawks Sounds: Training Camp Playlists, Practice 2 & 3

Posted Jul 29, 2014

Take a listen to which songs have been playing at practice during the first couple days of Seahawks training camp.

It's no secret that Seattle's music scene is alive and well.

It's been that way for a while, too. From one of the world's most influential electric guitarists - and a Paul Allen-favorite - Jimi Hendrix, to Nirvana's notable grunge movement, Pearl Jam's Pacific Northwest rock roots, and Sir Mix-A-Lot's trademark tone, the Emerald City has produced some truly sensational sounds.

Perhaps at no better time can you catch many of those artists on display than at a Seahawks practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Center. It's a method few clubs around the League choose to implement, but Seattle head coach Pete Carroll has made music a must when his team hits the field. Carroll will even go so far as tweeting a "Song of the Day" - today's features Seattle's own Macklemore on a new track with Seattle-based indie rock band Fences.

During the team's training camp, DJ DV One is the man behind the music. With the help of Seahawks Football Operations Coordinator Matt Capurro, the pair compiles a playlist for each day at the coaches' and players' request.

Below, check out which songs were played during the second and third days of training camp practice at team headquarters along the shores of Lake Washington.
