Seahawks Announce the Week 5 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week

Anna Paradee of Decatur High School is the week 5 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

SEATTLE and RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink, Inc. and Q13 FOX (KCPQ) today announced Anna Paradee of Decatur High School as the week 5 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week. Anna will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during the October 13 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Anna, a senior at Decatur, was selected Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Anna holds a 3.9 GPA as a three sport athlete since her freshman year, lettering and qualifying for State in Diving, Gymnastics, and Pole Vault. As a junior last year, she placed 6th in State in Dive, 4th at State Gymnastics on the vault, and 4th at the Track and Field State Championships in the pole vault. She takes multiple AP courses and was elected Community Relations Officer as part of the ASB at Decatur H.S. She is a member of the Ignite Student Mentor program, volunteers at the Brown's Point United Methodist Church's food bank, and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.

As the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week, Anna will also be recognized at her school in front of her family, peers and teachers. She will also receive a $1,000 grant from CenturyLink and the Seahawks for her school's Associated Student Bodies (ASB) fund, in addition to media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, and a customized 2013 Seahawks jersey.
