After scouring the social media landscape, Wilson looks to be joined by fellow quarterbacks
"Obviously, the goal is to do it again," Wilson said of the Seahawks' Super Bowl intentions. "We're not satisfied with what we've done. We've got a great football team again next year and we're looking forward to it. All of the offensive guys, we head down to California here soon, really starting this weekend to do the same thing we did last year. The journey starts there and we keep going.
"I think the biggest thing is we want to win another world championship, another Super Bowl, and you've got to do it one day at a time. Same thing - championship offseason and a championship mindset, and if we go in there with the right mentality, we can do it. We believe, that's for sure."
Organized by Wilson, the Seahawks spent time together in Hermosa Beach prior to the start of last year's Offseason Program at Virginia Mason Athletic Center. The team's initial trip south went better than Wilson had anticipated.
"Hermosa Beach exceeded my expectations," Wilson told SI.com in January. "I already knew I had great teammates, but the time in California allowed us to bond away from the distractions of everyday life. No cameras, no coaches, no pressure. Just a bunch of teammates accountable to each other and no one else. ... We went there as teammates, we came back as fraternity brothers."
It's evident Wilson is hoping he and his teammates can restore, reinforce, and build upon that bond formed prior to a season that saw the club hoist its first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history. If Wilson's touchdown toss to Kearse in the video below is any indication, they're well on their way.
